NASUWT in Nottingham & Nottinghamshire  The NASUWT Nottingham Association & Nottinghamshire Federation are democratic membership  organisations with nearly 2,000 members in the City and over 5,000 members across the County,  offering legal, professional and collective trade union support to teachers and teaching assistants  throughout the City & County. We have members in all sectors from early years to further  education, and represent teachers in all roles including heads and deputies. Local officers are  able to respond quickly when members require assistance. The Nottinghamshire Federation  Office is located within the same premises as the NASUWT East Midlands Regional Centre, which  is backed by national resources providing further support, advice and representation.  Details of the elected NASUWT Nottingham Association Secretary and other elected Officers and Committee members are to be found on our contacts page
Nottingham City is a separate unitary local authority and the Nottingham Association NASUWT negotiates within it on behalf of its members. The Nottingham  Association is therefore separate from the Nottinghamshire Federation whose members work within Nottinghamshire.   The Nottinghamshire Federation is a county-wide policy-making body. Each of the seven Local Associations within the Nottinghamshire Federation elects  delegates to attend Federation meetings and, like the Nottingham Association, the Nottinghamshire Federation plays an important part in ensuring the  democracy of the NASUWT. Details of elected NASUWT Federation Officers and Local Association secretaries are available here.   Both the Nottingham Association and the Nottinghamshire Federation inform NASUWT National Executive, and they respectively conduct consultation and  negotiation on behalf of NASUWT members working in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. More details are available on The Way We Work page.
